Lloyd Wellington Acoustic - fitting and glueing the bridge

Lloyds bridge is made from Ziricote, and will have a matching fingerboard.  It's an interesting looking piece of browns, greys and blacks that looks similar aesthetically to Brazilian Rosewood.   In this photo you can see I've prepared the blank and also left a little message to myself in case I come over all stupid.

Here I'm using a coping saw to cut the bridge blank to shape, next Ill finalise the outline shape with files, then sand the edges to 400 grit.  Its easier to sand the edges now than when its glued to the soundboard.

It usually takes me a good few hours to fit the bridge to the soundboard depending on how strongly the force is flowing.  The soundboard has a 3.5mm curve and the bridge has to be an exact fit for optimum sound transfer and also so that it doesnt get pulled off by the pressure of the strings.

Here Ive got the bridge glued and clamped and Ill leave it to harden overnight.
